Eva Longoria: (Mexican descent) Actor- In 2000, In 2000, Eva Longoria landed her first guest-starring role in an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210, with another guest-starring role in General Hospital that same year. Eva got her big break in 2001 when she received a role on the popular American soap opera The Young and the Restless; she was in the soap until 2003. People Magazine en Español listed her among its "Most Beautiful People" that same year. In 2004, she received a leading role as adulteress "Gabrielle Solis" in the popular Desperate Housewives. Soon after her stunning performance as "Gabrielle", Longoria starred and produced a film titled Carlita's Secrect. In 2005, she was rewarded for her performance in Desperate Housewives when she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy. That same year Longoria was awarded the prestigious ALMA AWARD and named entertainer of the year. In her first major role in a theatrical movie, she starred opposite Michael Douglas in the 2006 thriller The Sentinel. Natalia Streignard: (Venezuelan) Actor- Before becoming an actress, Natalia Streignard was a contestant in the Miss Venezuela pageant, where she was finalist. Christina Aguilera:(Ecuadorian descent)Singer, Songwriter and Record Producer -Christina Aguilera's career was ignited by signing a deal with RCA Records after recording Reflection for the film Mulan. Christina's breakthrough was following her debut album Christina Aguilera, which was a critical and commercial success. Christina went back to her roots to record her Latin pop album Mi Reflejo, and a Christmas album, My Kind of Christmas, both records sold very well. Aguilera had a "controversial" makeover and took creative control over her second studio album Stripped, which produced substantial sales. Aguilera's third studio album Back to Basics included elements of soul, jazz, and blues music. Mainly produced by DJ Premier, it was released to strong sales and positive critical reception. Aguilera's work has earned her numerous awards including five Grammy Awards and amongst sixteen nominations. She has sold 30 million albums worldwide and has contributed to many film soundtracks most noticeably Shark Tale. The Mayor of Hollywood, Johnny Grant, announced that in 2008, Aguilera will receive a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Penélope Cruz:(Spanish)Actor - Cruz started her career as a TV presenter for a teen-oriented program titled, La Quinta. She also directed Nacho Cano's video of "El waltz de los locos", in 1994. Cruz's first major films were Jamón, jamón and Belle Epoque, a film which won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In 1997, she starred as "Sofía Pangia", alongside Eduardo Noriega in Abre los ojos, directed by Alejandro Amenábar, and in 2000 she appeared with Matt Damon in All the Pretty Horses. In 1999, she appeared in Pedro Almodóvar's Todo sobre mi madre, which won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In early 2001, she appeared in the film Vanilla Sky, the Hollywood remake of Abre Los Ojos, which she played the same role in both films. Cruz co-starred with her best friend, Selma Hayek in the 2006 film, Bandidas. Also in 2006, Cruz received highly favorable reviews for her performance in Pedro Almodóvar's Volver, which she won a Best Actress ensemble award at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and BAFTA Award. She is the first Spanish Actress to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. In May, 2007, Penelope and her sister Monica designed a 25-piece collection for the Barcelona-based fashion chain, Mango. Penélope's latest film, Elegy, puts her alongside Academy Award Winning actor Ben Kingsley which is set to be released in 2008.

Mia Maestro:(Argentinean)Actor, Dancer and Singer – This Argentine beauty is an actress and a trained classical music vocalist, whom she learned in Berlin at age 18. There she also learned the Brechtian acting technique as well as dance. She was born in Buenos Aires and won an ACE Award for performance in the stage production of Pandora's Box. In 2001, she was ranked #61 in Stuff's 100 Sexiest Women. Also in 2001, she ranked #67 in Maxim's 100 Sexiest Women. She starred in Alias as “Nadia Santos” in Season 4 of the drama. Mia Maestro won a Teen Choice Award for TV Breakout Performance – Female (Alias). Maestro then had a recurring role in the program's 5th season. Maestro had a busy 2004 and 2005 starred in critically-acclaimed Motorcycle Dairies, Secuestro Express, The Holy Girl and Deep Water. Gaby Spanic:(Venezuelan)Actor - Her career started in the Miss Venezuela pageant in 1992. Spanic began her university studies in psychology, but always had a latent desire for acting. Her career received a major boost in the mid 90s when she started landing leading roles in Venezuelan soaps. Gabriela first appeared as an extra, which opened a lot of doors to much juicer roles. In 1991, she appeared in the soap Rosangelica, this performance led her to her first lead role, “Linda Prado”, in the highly successful Morena Clara. In 1994 her lead role in Como tu, ninguna introduced her to, Venezuelan actor Miguel de Leon, who later became her husband. Gabriela moved with Miguel to Mexico were two of Gaby’s biggest roles were offered in the critically acclaimed La Usurpadora which broke all the records in 120 countries and became one of the most popular soap operas in Mexican history, La Usurpadora was translated into 25 different languages. With hard work and stunning looks, Gaby has become an international telenovela icon. Spanic as appeared in over seventeen soaps and continues to redine the genre. In her latest telenovela Gaby was in Telemundo’s smash it Tierra De Pasiones, in which she played the spicey role of “Valeria San Román”.

Ninel Conde:(Mexican)Actor and Singer – Ninel Conde has been in several telenovelas such as, Bajo el Mismo Rostro, Luz Clarita, Catalina y Sebastián and Como en el cine. In addition to telenovelas, Ninel has participated in several television shows such as Al Derecho y Al Derbez, Lo Que Callamos Las Mujeres, Gente con Chispa, El Gordo y La Flaca, among others. Ninel also appeared in the film Mujeres Frente al Espejo in which she shared credits with other major actresses, such as Silvia Pasquel, Gabriela Goldsmith and Isaura Espinoza, under the direction of Sergio Jiménez. She was awarded the Sol de Oro for the telenovela Catalina y Sebastián, as Best New Actress and the Palmas de Oro for Mujeres frente al Espejo. In 2003, Ninel released her first album titled Ninel Conde which contains the single Callados and also participated on 7 mujeres, 1 homosexual y Carlos directed by René Bueno. Ninel Conde gained popularity in 2004 when she participated in the third edition of the reality show Big Brother VIP, and was voted-off after 43 days of confinement. In 2005, Ninel continued with her musical career with the release of her latest album Y…Ganó El Amor. Conde is currently seen appearing on the American dramedy series Ugly Betty where she portrays an actress on a 'faux' soap opera that is seen by the main character's family.

Cameron Diaz: (Cuban descent) Actor – Cameron Diaz's breakthrough role was in the film The Mask which she co-stared with Jim Carrey. Diaz then gained mainstream success with her roles in My Best Friend's Wedding and There's Something About Mary. She earned her Best Supporting Actress nominations at the Golden Globes, the BAFTA Awards and the SAG Awards for her role in Being John Malkovich. In 2001, she also won nominations for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards and the AFI Awards for Vanilla Sky. In 2003, Diaz received another Golden Globe nomination for Martin Scorsese's epic Gangs of New York and After Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Cameron became the second actress to ever to earn $20 million for a role, the first being Julia Roberts. During 2004, Diaz was part of a 10-episode MTV series Trippin’. Diaz’s latest roles are in such films like Shrek the Third, The Holiday, What Happens In Vegas…and The Box, a horror thriller which started filming in November 2007. Diaz will return for the fourth installment of Shrek as Princess Fiona in Shrek Goes Fourth out 2010.

Marlene Favela: (Mexican) Actor - Before becoming an actress, Marlene Favela was born in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico on August 5, 1976. Marlene has performed in a plethora of Mexican soap operas including El Velo de la Novia, and the over night sensation Gata Salvaje. Marlene also was the lead actress in Telemundo Network’s highly successful Zorro. In 2007, Favela was in the made for video movie Species: The Awakening.

Shakira: (Colombian) Singer and Songwriter – The 1995 album, Pies Descalzos, produced three hit singles including Estoy Aquí which helped bring her great fame in Latin America and United States and sold over four million copies. This early success prompted the release of a remix album, titled simply The Remixes and 1998; she teamed up with producer Emilio Estefan and released her fourth album titled, ¿Dónde Están Los Ladrones? this album sold nearly one million copies. Eight of the album's eleven tracks became singles, including the world-famous Ojos Así which helped expand her popularity to non-speaking audiences all around the world and the United States. This accomplishment led to MTV’s first Spanish-language edition of “MTV Unplugged”, which was composed of Estoy Aquí and all the songs from ¿Dónde Están Los Ladrones?. The following album, Laundry Service, catapulted Shakira to a international superstar with such hits like, Whenever, Wherever and Underneath Your Clothes. Laundry Service sold over thirteen million records. Shakira followed with writing 60 songs on two albums, Fijacion Oral Vol.1 and Oral Fixation Vol.2 which both albums produced award winning hits like La Tortura and Hips Don’t Lie. In August 2000, she won an MTV Video Music Award in the now-defunct category of People's Choice - Favorite International Artist. Shakira continues to create hits and accumulate awards. She received five Latin Grammys Awards in 2006 two of which were for Best Album of the Year (Fijacion Oral Vol.1) and Best Song of the Year (La Tortura). In 2007, Shakira’s most recent projects include writing and recording two songs for the film soundtrack of Life In The Time Of Cholera.

Paola Turbay: (Colombian) Actor – Paola’s career began by being the runner up in the Miss Universe pageant, which led to her acquiring several roles in her native Colombia; Leche, Noticias calientes and O todos en la cama. Paola also received a couple of roles in critically acclaim films such as Perder es cuestión de método and Love in the Time of Cholera. Paola’s beauty and talent can be seen in the 2007 hit television series, Cane, in which she plays the lovely Isabel Vega.

Nadine Velazquez: (Puerto Rican)Actor - She appeared in the 2004 film Blast!, as well as the TV movie, The Last Ride, and currently stars in the NBC series My Name Is Earl as Catalina Aruca. She appeared on the January 2006 cover of Stuff, and was named #39 in the annual Maxim Hot 100 list. Nadine Velazquez was also originally cast as Fernando Sucre's girlfriend Maricruz Delgado in the FOX series Prison Break but acquired a role in My Name Is Earl instead. She can be seen briefly on the Prison Break set in a featurette on the show's first season DVD set. Velazquez is one of the actors in the star-studded monologue show Skirts & Flirts. Her latest role is in the movie War with Jet Li and Jason Statham, released in 2007.

Paz Vega: (Spaniard) Actor – Paz Vega made her television debut in the Spanish TV series, Menudo es mi padre, which starred pint-sized rumba singer “El Fary”. After appearing in two other series in 1997 - Mas que amigos and teen drama Compañeros, Vega got her big break in 7 Vidas, also in 1999. The series was billed as a Spanish Friends and went on to become one of the country's best-loved domestic sitcoms. That same year she went on to grace the silver screen in Zapping and a minor role in the David Menke’s movie I Will Survive (Sobreviviré) alongside Emma Suarez, Juan Diego Botto and a cameo from Boy George. In 2001, Paz won the Trofeo Chopard best breakthrough performance award at the Cannes Film Festival for her role as “Lucía” in Lucía y el sexo and in 2004 Paz also won the Best breakthrough performance at the Phoenix Film Critics Society for her role as “Flor” alongside Adam Sandler in Spanglish. Christina Milian: (Cuban descent)Singer, Author, Songwriter, Record Producer, Dancer, Actress, and former MTV VJ – Christina Milian is one of the most diverse Latina entertainers in music. She has released three studio albums and one compilation album. She has also had four solo top five singles (and also a top ten featuring credit single) in the UK as well as hits in the rest of Europe and North America. Christina’s most recent album, So Amazing, gave her much clout as an R’n’B artist. Milian also wrote songs for Jennifer Lopez, Paula DeAnda and PYT. September 2006, Milian won the Ozone Award for Best Female in R'n'B by Ozone Magazine. As an actress, Milian appeared in the 2003 film Love Don't Cost a Thing opposite Nick Cannon. She also starred as singer “Linda Moon” in Be Cool, the sequel to Get Shorty, and appeared in the 2006 horror film Pulse. Christina also appeared on an episode of Smallville as “Rachel Davenport”. Milan is currently writing two books, both targeted for teenage girls.

Thalia:(Mexican)Singer, Actor and Entrepreneur – Thalia is an entertainment veteran who began her career at the age of nine in the Mexican musical group Din Din. From there she became a star on a Mexican soap opera, performed "Moderna Chica Del Rock" at the Juguemos A Cantar festival; starred in Vaselina, the Latin version of Grease; and joined the group Timbiriche, but she also had her sights on America. Under the guidance of producer Alfredo Diaz Ordaz, Thalia recorded three hit Spanish-language albums in the late '80s and early '90s. Thalia collaborated with another noted Latin producer, Emilio Estefan Jr. on three albums from 1995-2000. Thalia again showed her knack for connecting with the right people in late 2000 when she married then-Sony Music chief Tommy Mottola. Thalia returned to Mexico in June 2003 to speak out against terrorism and the appearance took place only weeks before the release of her self-titled crossover effort, which again featured collaborations with Rooney and Morales, as well as rapper Fat Joe. Her latest album El Sexto Sentido, was released in 2005 and was recorded mostly in the Spanish language, but with a few of the cuts sung in English as well. Thalia is currently hosting the Conexion Thalia Radio Show on ABC Radio and its affiliate stations. She is also the March of Dimes spokeswoman for premature births and launched her Dulceria Thalia chocolate and candy line under the Hershey's company.

Gaby Espino:(Venezuelan)Actor - In 1995, Gaby Espino began studying dance and acting in Escuela Luz Columbia in Venezuela. Espino’s debut role was in 1997 on a Venezuelan teen TV series titled A Todo Corazon, where she played Natalia. Just one year later she got her first protagonist role as “Ivana” in Enamorada. Gaby later acted in many telenovelas like Amantes De Luna Llena, Guerra De Mujeres and Las González. In 2003, she portrayed her first villain as the Princes “Izaguirre Zabaleta” in Rebeca. In 2005, Espino followed with two more telenovelas, Luna, la heredera and Se Solicita Príncipe Azul. She was also seen in the critically-acclaimed Peruvian movie La Mujer De Mi Hermano where she played Laura. In 2008, Gaby will be the protagonist in Telemundo’s much anticipated new telenovela titled El Engaño, which will be shot entirely in HD.

Sofia Vergara:(Colombian)Actor, Host and Producer - The stunning host of two popular Spanish market shows and motion picture actress; Sofia is successfully crossing over to the U.S. market. Vergara recently has received many roles for the small and big screen. Her most noticeable TV roles have been on the hit series Entourage and Dirty Sexy Money and in film roles are in Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns, 7 Days and Four Brothers The 5-foot-7-inch Colombian model and actress has kept busy marketing Mike Newell's Love in the Time of Cholera and other films to U.S. Hispanics through her company, Latin World Entertainment; executive producing and starring in the Latin-American version of Desperate Housewives; and creating jobs in her native Barranquilla through her Vergara by Sofia clothing line. Major networks are looking for the next project on which they and Vergara can collaborate.

Jessica Alba:(Mexican descent)Actor - Since her big break in 2000’s Dark Angel, Alba has won several awards including the Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television, TV Guide Award for Breakout Star of the Year and a Teen Choice Award for her role as “Max Guevara” in Dark Angel. Alba’s most notable roles have been as an aspiring dancer-choreographer in Honey, exotic dancer “Nancy Callahan” in Sin City and “Sue Storm/Invisible Woman”, in the Fantastic Four films. In 2006, Jessica went on to host the MTV Movie Awards. Aside from a growing film career, Jessica Alba has been considered one of the most beautiful women in the industry and the world. Roselyn Sánchez: (Puerto Rican) Actor and Producer - Roselyn Sánchez broke through in New York when she landed the role of “Pilar Domingo” on the soap opera, As The World Turns. In 2001, Roselyn was cast to co-star alongside Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker as "Isabella Molina", in the hit movie Rush Hour 2. In 2003, she played the role of "Lorena" in the movie Chasing Papi starring alongside Jaci Velasquez and Sofia Vergara. Sanchez has already acted in over 20 movies, including the role of “Maria” in Edison as well as the role of “Karen Lopez” in Underclassman. Jennifer Lopez: (Puerto Rican) Actress, Singer, Fashion Designer and Music Producer – J.Lo is a hard-working actress, producer, singer and fashion designer and Lopez doesn’t intend to slow down any anytime soon. Lopez has gone into overdrive this year, with multiple upcoming and already-released projects for both film and television. Lopez's first attempt into film production was this past August with the release of Picturehouse's El Cantante. J.Lo was also working on the MTV series Dance Life, Sony's Feel the Noise and ThinkFilm's Bordertown, all of which she produced. Her song Que hiciste from her 2007 Spanish-language album, Como Ama Una Mujer, was an international hit and reached No. 1 on the U.S. Latin and dance charts, and her new English-language album, Brave, is set to “burn up” the charts. In September, Lopez expanded her fashion empire with her inaugural runway show for new clothing line JustSweet. Lopez latest project is to produce and star in Sony's 2008 release of The Governess.

Eva Mendez: (Cuban descent)Actor - Eva Mendez has worked her way up through commercials, music videos, television soap operas and supporting film roles. She received her first big-screen break when she appeared in the award-winning and critically-acclaimed Training Day. That performance led to roles in Stuck on You, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and a lead role in Hitch opposite Will Smith. Her role in Once Upon a Time in Mexico also gave her a nomination at the Teen Choice Awards. Mendes costarred in Ghost Rider with Nicolas Cage, and most recently she starred alongside Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, and Robert Duvall in the film We Own the Night. Alessandra Amrosio: (Brazilian) Model – Amrosio’s best known collaboration is with American lingerie brand Victoria's Secret. She appeared on the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for the first time in 2000, and continues to be a participant in the subsequent shows. Her most notable walk down the runway was in 2005 wearing lingerie made entirely out of candy. In 2004, she was selected as the first spokesmodel for Victoria's Secret PINK line. She is currently a contract 'Angel' and spokesmodel for Victoria's Secret. She was chosen as one of People magazine's annual 100 Most Beautiful People in the World, in May 2007 along with fellow 'Angels' Ambrosio is among the world's top-earning models. Ambrosio is currently the face for the UK company Next and Armani A|X.Ambrosio stars Next's first television campaign in 12 years. Ambrosio has made several television appearances, a cameo as herself on Entourage; The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn; Late Night with Conan O’Brien; as guest judge on Project Runway season 2: Team Lingerie and The Tyra Banks Show where she was a guest twice. Hayek was instant success with her roles in such films like Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn and Fools Rush In; but Salma’s performance as “Frida Kahlo” in the biopic, Frida, was her most powerful performance to date. Selma received several award nominations including an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Salma Hayek joined forces with MGM to establish her film studio, Ventanazul, which will both produce and acquire Latino-themed films aimed at mainstream audiences. Hayek's other company, Ventanarosa Productions, has an exclusive TV producing deal with ABC Studios. In addition to serving as executive producer of the award-winning Ugly Betty, Hayek's guest appearances earned her an Emmy nomination. As a producer, she is working with Julia Alvarez to develop Yo a drama project about four Latino sisters. Ventanazul is developing the motion picture Bones Family, the first feature from Mexican writer-directors Gabriel and Rodolpho Riva Palacio Alatriste. Hayek’s Ventanarosa is developing a comedy by Issa Lopez titled La Banda set to release in 2008.

Adriana Lima: (Brazilian)Model, Actor – Adriana Lima entered the 1996 Ford Supermodel of the World contest finishing in second place and became a model with Elite Model Management and has appeared in numerous international editions of Vogue and Marie Claire. Lima then became a GUESS? girl appearing on GUESS?' Fall 2000 ad campaign. In 2001, Lima starred in BMW short film, The Follow alongside actors Clive Owen, and Forest Whitaker. Lima is also a spokesperson for cosmetic giant Maybelline New York. She is the world's fourth highest paid supermodel as of 2007. She ranked 7th on FHM 100 Sexiest Women 2007 and was chosen as one of People Magazine's annual 100 Most Beautiful People in the World, in May 2007. On June 13, 2007, she was awarded as "Hottest Girl on the Planet" at the first Spike TV Guys' Choice Awards. Lima was voted number 53 on the Maxim Hot 100 in 2007 as number 53.
